The weather in the Highlands, indeed in Scotland, often forms part of our daily conversation with friends and colleagues. We are always talking about OUR weather. It controls almost everything we do and without it the Highlands of Scotland would not be what they are...

If you have not visited before, the first thing you may notice about our weather is how quickly it can change, and how much that change effects the scenery and what you do...

A stunning red sunset at any time of year is often replaced by a gray, wet morning, and this in turn can quickly burst into a bright, clear, sunny day with a clarity sometimes beyond belief. After heavy rainfall, rainbows arch across  mountainous skylines and lochs lay at peace in reflective mood.

Whatever time of year, whatever you are planning to do and wherever you are going, the weather in the Highlands is important, so be prepared for almost anything, and don't forget your camera or video...
